With the continuing success of Holly Little League over the past few seasons, there is plenty to be proud of when it comes to being part of our organization.  That includes all of the time and energy spent from all of our Board Members, to the fantastic skills development our coaches have been able to achieve, to the wonderful support of the family members and community, but most especially to all of our amazing players at all ages levels.  We can't thank each and every one of them enough.

With that said, HLL would like to point out to our growing community that there are those that would use this goodwill and recent success to try to benefit themselves rather than work toward improving our Little League experience as a whole.  There have been rumors going around that there are some travel/tournament teams that have been affiliated with HLL and that by joining one of these organizations, you will be enhancing your time with HLL, getting player fees paid for, or automatically making it onto one of our District Teams.

To be clear, Holly Little League has no affiliations with any travel/tournament teams.  While in the past we have had coaches put together weekend tournament teams from our players, or allowed teams to use our fields, there has never been (nor currently ongoing) any ties with our League and ANY outside baseball or softball organization.  Any organization that is saying anything to the contrary of this statement is lying to you and is trying to take your money with false promises.

While there are many VERY good travel ball organizations in our area, in the past few years there has been an influx of unscrupulous people that prey on your children and offer them playing experience beyond what they can actually offer and end up taking thousands of dollars from families with very little in return for your player.  We have had more than a few of these people tell families that they are part of HLL and that they have our blessing and cooperation with their organizations.  I am here to tell you that is not the case.

IF A REPRESENTATIVE OF ANY OUTSIDE TRAVEL ORGANIZATION TELLS YOU THEY ARE AFFILIATED WITH HLL, THEY ARE LYING TO YOU AND THEY SHOULD NOT BE TRUSTED WITH YOUR MONEY OR YOUR CHILD'S WELL-BEING.

Our goal with HLL is to allow your children to learn the game of baseball or softball in a well-organized, fun environment where your kids will get the best Little League experience they can while keeping costs as low as we can for our families.  We would not be achieving that goal if we allowed others to use the good name we have made for ourselves in the community to try to push their own personal gains.  If you are interested in having your child join a reputable travel/tournament organization, please let us know and we can help you find one that is well established, and will not dissolve within a year (and take your money with them).

Thank you once more, and we'll see you again next spring!

USABat Standard

Starting next season (2018) Little League International has adopted the new USA Baseball Bat Standard.  By utilizing the most current advancements available, manufacturers can now develop bats with a wood-like performance, which is important for the long-term success of the game.  This new bat standard helps ensure this wood-like performance.

What does this mean for you?  First, it means that any bat not following the USA Baseball Bat Standard will not be allowed to be used in play in Little League in 2018.  Also, these new bats will not be available until Fall 2017.  So this means that if you buy a new bat for use this spring, it will only be able to be used this season.
